MIRACLES
We always wonder… “Why doesn’t God do miracles like he used to?” Well, when was the last time you woke up and noticed you are still living? When was the last time you took in a breath, a sip of invisibleness that keeps you alive somehow? When was the last time you opened your refrigerator in the morning and noticed barely any food, but when you opened it up in the afternoon, somehow there was tons of food and drink that seemed to appear magically?
Remember that night you went out for a slice of pizza and you had leftovers? When you decided to leave that white Styrofoam box with a slice of pie next to the sleeping raggedy homeless man? Imagine as he woke up in the morning to miraculously find food next to him which wasn’t their a few hours ago. Imagine the joy that came with the fulfillment of hope he experienced. That is a miracle.
Remember when you drifted from the Lord? When you stubbornly lived life your own way and lived for your own fleshly desires? You were blinded from Gods path and couldn’t seem to walk the righteous path he had perfectly planned for you. You were the blind man whos sight was cured by the touch of Jesus. Your vision was restored and you could finally see the wonders He has for your life. That is a miracle.
There are miracles happening each second of our day and lifetime. From the moment the sun rises gloriously to the time it has become weary and decides to rest. This enormous mass called earth weighs more than we can imagine, yet floats gracefully through space in a direction planned by God. It never becomes blind, it never wanders. It remains faithful to the plan God has for it. Just like the stars in the skys, the streaming rivers, and the circle of life. They all stay faithful to Gods plan. That is a miracle.
Have you looked closely at humanity? Have you found a fingerprint similar to yours? Look at the friends, family, and companions that are placed in your life! Look at “love.” Is it really something we can’t explain? Or is it simpler than our minds can imagine. Love comes from looking up, the moment your eyes and heart reach the Fathers. It flows through our veins and travels through our spirit, like the blood of Christ flows too. Look at “Peace” another invisible beauty that He stores in our hearts. If you have felt peace and if you have felt love, then you have felt a miracle. Humanity, Love, and Peace are much more than common earthly things my brothers and sisters. They are heavenly. They are miracles
Look at the chalice and the bread. They are symbols of a magnificent sacrifice, and symbols of a miraculous body. The body that was beaten and bruised. The flesh that was ripped and scared. The flesh that was destroyed just for you and me. The blood that fell from the cross still falls on our hearts today. Still purifies our soul till this day. Still gives us a reason to suffer, and a reason to prosper. This isn’t a fairytale. This is a miracle.
Look around and see what really happens in your life. Be thankful for the beauty of this spiritual art called Miracles. God is the greatest artist of all and our lives are his canvas. It just takes a moment to look and see the vivid colors of miracles.
